Our classes are designed to give you or your loved one an overview of pottery skills and techniques. We start with hand building, move on to throwing using the wheel and finally we glaze your items. During the process you'll use all the equipment we have to hand including your choice of wheel, glazes, and tools for detail work. Krista Cameron Pottery prides itself on our wide range of machinery that makes pottery an easier and more rewarding experience. For instance, we have an extruder which flattens the clay quickly - meaning that you don't have to spend hours at it with a rolling pin. Krista guides students through all steps of the processes that are new to them. She does it with humour and a laid back approach which makes even the most anxious student relax. Who is the class for? This class is for people who want to learn a new skill. It's perfect for those just looking for a new thing to try or those who've wanted to take part in pottery for ages but didn't want the investment. The classes are diverse and there's usually a connection made between new students, but we also encourage you to bring a friend if you're a little worried about meeting new folks. As for ability, this class is designed for those who have zero experience in pottery but we sometimes have a few people who tried it years ago and need a refresher. If you have any concerns or specialty needs then get in touch with us first. A Student from our beginners class made this beautiful piece: What happens if I buy the beginners class as a gift and then my recipient can't make the dates?
Sometimes you don't want to ruin the surprise of a gift, which is why we offer a specific policy regarding gifted classes. If the upcoming dates don't suit the recipient then we'll keep a spot open for them in other beginners classes when they come up. We'll stay in contact with them and ensure we can find an alternative date. How Can I Buy A Class? Email us: [email protected], tell us how many spaces you'll need and we'll ask for a few more details to ensure that we can send you the gift certificate and them the gift email. It's simple. Can't be bothered opening your email? Then visit: facebook.com/kristacameronpottery and message us there, we'll make sure the process goes smoothly. |
