Bio
Diana Earle has worked with Clay since 1973 and became and became a professional potter in 1981. She specialized in finely crafted thrown vessels, later exploring hand built sculptural forms. She embraced both Raku and Smoke Firing techniques that enhanced her work.
Diana’s training began at St. Lawrence College. She has since been taught by many international Clay Artists.  Her work is part of many private collections around the world.


 Clay Coaching

Join us for a Studio Tour, followed by a 3-week coaching series designed to take your practice to the next level with the guidance of established clay artist, Diana Earle.

We recommend students have experience with clay to get the most from Diana's coaching. There are limited spots available, leaving ample one-on-one time.

Cost is $40 for Diana's Studio Tour & Talk, full of her experience as an artist and wisdom for budding ceramists. Refreshments will be served. 

Cost is $150+ tax to attend all 3 weeks of coaching. (Individual pricing for each session is listed below).

All materials are included. Proceeds from our Coaching Series  are donated directly to the Clay Studio Collective.
Coaching Series
Studio Tour & Talk 
"I want to share my studio, my pots, my successes and failures, and most of all, my knowledge! I took my first course in pottery back in 1973, in Toronto. By 1976 I had moved to Brockville, and was fortunate to become a student of Charlie Scott. He trained my eye first.
My eyes have led my fingers ever since!”

Individual Session: $40 


.Week 1: Texture
Play, explore and learn about the wonderful use of Texture when making ceramic pieces. Enjoy Diana’s huge collection of COOL TEXTURE STUFF! 
Individual Session: $60 

Week 2: Form
Learn how to transfer the Elements of Design to your pots. Learn about a pieces Profile, Visual Weight
and the Inner Mystery of a humble pot. Students are encouraged to bring 2-5 pots (not necessarily your own), that you do NOT like!
Individual Session: $60 

Week 3: Display
Learn how to display your work properly for selling. Students must bring in 5-10 pieces (can be sculpture or functional wares, of different sizes and shapes…) that
you would like to build a display for.
Individual Session: $60

Cancellations are eligible for a refund up to 14 days prior to the course start date.

Missed Classes: It is hard to make-up a missed class for this series, so please plan accordingly.

You'll end up with clay splattering around and flying off the wheel, you'll forget you have clay on your hands and you'll scratch your head or wipe your face, and you'll almost definitely wipe your hands on your clothes. 

Which is why I will never advise you to wear your beautiful designer jeans, or jewellery. Here's what to wear to a pottery class...
